Meet Your Health Coach, Denise
Born and raised in the northeast, I grew up wanting to work training athletes in some capacity. I loved so many sports, watching them and analyzing body movement. I became very interested in the injuries specifically. I went to Northeastern University in pursuit of working as an Athletic Trainer. After completing the program, I was disappointed in the little opportunity women had to work in professional locker rooms (it was 1988). I went on a journey to reinvent myself and find work. Landing in retail management for many years, I continued my education in fitness and coaching on the side.
After 18 years in retail, I had an opportunity to help a family-owned, small business grow into something quite amazing. I stayed in executive management with that company for 14 years and resigned during the pandemic. I am thankful for my winding career path as I learned so many great skills to carry with me into my next venture.
I had many personal adversities to overcome along the way. Some were devastating and extremely painful. Through these life challenges I found my faith and gained physical and emotional healing. Happiness is a choice that I make every day. Life is an amazing journey and I have so many things that I am grateful for. Healing is at the top of the list. I will be happy to share my experiences if they are relevant and would help you on your journey.
I currently live in a townhouse with my two wonderful children. My daughter is 22 and a yoga instructor and my son is 17 and not sure what he would like to do just yet. We have an older lab mix that we adore, and a mischievous kitty. Our lives are full of love and we look forward to each new day.
I have always wanted to focus on helping others overcome their obstacles and discover their best version of themselves. Personal development and the development of my work teams has remained my passion in every job I’ve ever had. Enter my new career…..I am now certified and formally trained as a Holistic Health Coach.
I received my training from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, where I studied a variety of dietary theories and practical lifestyle coaching methods. With my knowledge, we co-create completely personalized actions based on your goals to move you toward your ideal vision of health within your unique body, lifestyle, preferences, and resources.
As a coach, I put the power back in YOUR hands.
